They disbanded shortly after the release of their only album in 1972. Former bassist Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding and Rod Richards of Rare Earth decided to join forces and formed a power trio with drummer Leslie Sampson. It is not clear what was the reason that the team was not very successful. Perhaps the big mistake was the desire to imitate the great Hendrix. Shortly after the release of the only album, the band broke up. After the breakup, Redding and Sampson formed The Noel Redding Band, and Richards, left alone, began a solo career. |
